Assault with a Firearm | 4000 block of Market Street
Penn and Philadelphia Police responded to a report of an assault with a firearm in the 4000 block of Market Street. Upon arrival, Police discovered that a person had been shot while inside a business, and they were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’9” tall, medium build, wearing glasses, a black face mask, blue jeans, and a black and red shirt. The suspect was last seen riding an electric scooter, with a seat and orange wheels, westbound on Market Street towards 41st Street.
Eastbound Market Street remains closed while Police investigate. Police and security continue to patrol the area.
